Romeoville Parks And Recreation Dept. To Offer In-Person Programs

ROMEOVILLE, IL — The Village of Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department is offering in-person program starting July as the state moves to Phase 4 of the governor's reopening plan amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department offers a multitude of events, recreational programs, and community services for residents and visitors to enjoy with the mission of improving the quality of life for all community members.

From concerts to carnivals, the Recreation Department hosts over thirty special events for all ages and interests including the Village’s annual festival, RomeoFest. The Recreation Department also offers hundreds of athletic and special interest recreational programs for all age groups as well a variety of community services to better serve residents and visitors.

Since its establishment in 1965 the Romeoville Parks and Recreation Department has continued to evolve alongside its residents. Beginning in a basement office of the Village Hall, and eventually moving into the newly built Romeoville Recreation Center in 1978 the department has continued to grow with the community. In 2001, the Recreation Center fulfilled additions and renovations and reopened as it stands today.
