Romeoville Tuition-Based Preschool Application Window Opens Next Week

The program is conducted by Valley View School District

The following is a press release from Valley View School District:

"Applications for Valley View School District 365U’s new tuition-based preschool program will be accepted beginning Jan. 23.
Up to 200 tuition-paid spots at the award-winning Valley View Early Childhood Center will be available next fall for children who are at least three but do not turn five before Sept.1. Applications will be accepted from out-of-district residents but first priority will be given to families who live within VVSD boundaries.
Applications for the new program must be made on-line at either www.vvsd.org or www.vvsd.org/VVECCbetween Jan. 23 and Feb. 22. Because the number of spots available is limited, a lottery will be held on Feb. 23 to determine students who have been accepted into the program.
Parents who apply will receive an e-mail no later than Feb. 27 notifying them if their child has been accepted or has been placed on a waiting list. Parents whose children are accepted must secure the spot by making a non-refundable $65 payment between March 6 and March 24.
Tuition is $2,450. It can be paid in 10 equal monthly installments with the first payment due May 1, or paid at once with a 4 percent discount ($2,350.) Those families who have another child in VVECC will receive a 10 percent discount.
The half-day program will be housed at the Valley View Early Childhood Center, 753 Dalhart Ave., Romeoville. Sessions will run from 8:55 to 11:25 a.m. or 12:40 to 3:10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. No transportation will be provided for tuition-based students. Classes begin next August."
