Romeoville's Magid Glove And Safety Recognized As A Top Workplace
The family-owned company won three national culture awards which recognize Magid's leadership, innovation, and work-life balance priority.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Romeoville safety company has been recognized nationally as a top workplace and has been recognized for its leadership, innovation, and for making work-life balance a priority for its employees.
Family-owned company Magid Glove and Safety was honored Thursday by Top Workplaces with three national culture awards, company officials said. To be considered as a Top Workplace or be eligible for the Culture Excellence Awards, organizations must ask their employees to fill out an employee engagement survey.
Survey questions are asked about a variety of topics such as employee engagement, company culture, basic benefits, training, and work-life balance. Energage then reviews these surveys and determines which companies are considered a Top Workplace.

According to Top Workplaces, “Over the past year, Energage has invited almost 42,000 organizations to compete for our national awards.” On average, fewer than 3 percent of eligible organizations earn a Top Workplaces designation, making these achievements clear differentiators among peers, the company said in a news release.
It’s great to see our leadership team recognized nationally,” Magid CEO Greg Cohen said in the release. “Together we have created a culture where people feel engaged, appreciated, and fulfilled. Knowing that our team members were the judges for this leadership award makes it even more compelling.”

He added: “Magid works hard to develop innovative safety products to improve the worker experience through increased comfort, productivity, and protection. It’s gratifying that our team recognizes the important work we’re doing to help companies keep their workers safe.”
Magid recently announced a gas surplus program for its employees, which takes the burden off of employees at the gas pump by providing some financial assistance to workers based on their commute to the Romeoville office.
