Man Killed, Teen Injured In Scene75 Shooting In Romeoville: Police

According to authorities, the shooting happened during an argument at the business on Friday night.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A 19-year-old man is dead after a Friday shooting at Scene75 Entertainment Center in Romeoville, according to police. The shooting also left a 16-year-old injured, authorities said.

A community alert sent by village officials shortly before 10 p.m. confirmed two people were injured in the shooting at the entertainment complex located at 460 S. Weber Rd.

According to police, the shooting stemmed from an argument during which a single suspect opened fire, striking the victims. The victims, both from Chicago, were taken to Ascension Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet, where the 19-year-old man was pronounced dead, police said.

The 16-year-old currently is in stable condition, according to authorities.

Police have identified the suspect but have not publicly released their name. The suspect, who police said is from Chicago, has not been located.

Authorities said there is no ongoing risk to the public.

The shooting remains under investigation.
