Three-Car Crash In Romeoville After Driver Disobeys Traffic Light
The crash occurred at the intersection of Independence Boulevard and Renwick Road at 12:59 p.m. on Thursday.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — A three-car crash occurred in Romeoville on Thursday after a driver disobeyed the traffic signal, police said.
Romeoville Deputy Chief Brant Hromadka said that officers responded to the area of Independence Boulevard on Route 53 and Renwick Road at 12:59 p.m.
A Ford Focus and Dodge Nitro were traveling northbound on Independence Boulevard after the traffic light turned green. A Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound on Renwick Road disobeyed the traffic control device and struck both vehicles at the intersection.

"The Chevrolet Silverado came to rest on its side," Hromadka said. "There were no injuries requiring transport to the hospital."
The driver of the Silverado was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
