Valley View Sends Five Student-Athletes To IESA Bowling State Tourney
Valley View students Valarie Kay, Brandon Kay, Devin Kirkland, Arianna McCollum and A.J. Dole will represent the district.
WILL COUNTY, IL — Valley View School District will send five student-athletes to the IESA Bowling state tournament on Friday and Saturday, held at Town and Country Lanes in Joliet.
The District said Humphrey Middle School will be represented by eighth grade student Valarie Kay and by Tibbott Elementary School fifth grader Brandon Kay.
Lukancic Middle School will be represented by seventh grade student Devin Kirkland and sixth grade student Arianna McCollum. A.Vito Martinez Middle School seventh grader A.J. Dole completes the contingent of VVSD students who qualified for this year’s state championship, the District said.

According to IESA, the state tournament is three rounds. The preliminary round is Friday and consists of four games; the finals are on Saturday and consist of two rounds made up of three games each.
All bowlers compete in the preliminary round; but the qualifying field for the finals consists of the top 10 teams per division and the top 32 individual bowlers who did have an advancing team, according to IESA.
