Valley View Track Athletes Head To State Championships
Both high school and middle school athletes are headed to the track and field championships.
WILL COUNTY, IL — Valley View School District is sending several of its track athletes to compete at both the IHSA track and field championships and the IESA track and field championships.
The District said two of its students qualified for individual events at the IHSA Class 3A girls championship on May 16-18. Bolingbrook High School senior Kristyn Johnson and Romeoville High School senior Tania Miller will compete in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.
Both student-athletes will also compete for their respective teams in the 4X100 and the 4X200 Meter Relays.

The District is also sending seven student-athletes as individual competitors to the IESA Class 7-4A and 8-4A boys track and field championship on May 17 and May 18. Jane Addams
Middle School is represented in the long jump by eighth grade students Marlon Williams and Mason Williams.
Jane Addams eighth grade student Yorachukwu Ifeajekwu qualified in both the 400-meter and
800-meter events, and eighth grade student Gabriel Jenkins is in the field for the 200-meter dash, according to the District.

Brooks Middle School is sending eighth grade student Darieon Prescott to compete in the 100-meter dash and the shot put, while seventh grade student Justin Shelton will run in the 110-meter Hurdles and eighth grade student Ayden Flemings will compete in the long jump.
Brooks also qualified their eighth grade 4X100 and 4x200-meter relay teams. Humphrey Middle School will be represented by their 4X100-meter relay team.
