• New Illinois Farm Bureau president seeks to restore communication and credibility for the venerable organization (wglt.org) — A farmer based near Seneca is now leading the Illinois Farm Bureau and says repairing strained ties with the national Farm Bureau and other ag groups is his top priority. He’s also focused on helping young farmers, empowering the board, and tackling unprofitable markets, from seed and fertilizer to meatpacking, that are squeezing Illinois producers’ bottom lines.
