Shorewood Village Board

Open Seats:

Five candidates will be elected. The village president, village clerk and three Shorewood trustee seats are up for election this year.

Candidates:

Village President Rick Chapman is running unopposed, as his daughter Tracy Ragusa, who is running for village clerk.

Five people filed to run for three trustee seats on the Shorewood Village Board. They are: Dan Warren, Dan Anderson (I), Bradly Brooks, Ken Votava and Edmund W. Murphy.

Troy School District 30

Five candidates will appear on the ballot for District 30. They are: Mark Griglione (I)  David Talarico (I), Anthony Andreano (I), Anne Carney (I), and Catherine Besler.

Plainfield School District 202

Just five candidates are running for the four open positions on the District 202 school board. They are: Michelle Leigh Smith (I) Rod Westfall (I), William Slabich, Jr,. Bill Dargan and P. Anne Walchshauser

Minooka High School District 111

Eight canidates are vying for four, four-year spots on the board. There are no candidates for an unexpired 2-year spot. The candidates are: Mike Brozovich, Patti J. Ruettiger (I), Sherry Schmidt, Charles Hiscock, Douglas Kaufman (I), Chris Kobe (I), Wendi Arlis and Michelle Mullen.

Library Referendum

Shall the limiting rate under the Property Tax Extension Limit Law for the Shorewood-Troy Public Library District, Will County, Illinois, be increased by an additional amount equal to .4164 percent above the limiting rate for any purpose of said Library District for levy year 2011 and be equal to .56 percent of the equalized assessed value of the taxable property therein for levy year 2013?
