The book is the second book in The Defenders trilogy, and follows Jimmy Dawson as he pursues serial rapist Bert Halston. That pursuit brings Jimmy to Joliet, and much of the book is set in Joliet.
In the meantime, Camilla Estrada has gone missing at&nbsp;the Arizona/Mexico border. Jimmy and the rest of The Defenders team are in a race against the clock to&nbsp;find Camilla.&nbsp;

No experience needed—just bring your working sewing machine, foot pedal, navy blue all-purpose thread, and a passion to learn. Step into one of Joliet’s most sacred historic spaces, where the architecture was born to carry sound. The Old Central Church, with its 130-year-old walls, stained-glass windows, and soaring ceilings, holds a resonance that gently wraps around you like an embrace. Every note lingers, every vibration expands, and the space itself becomes a healing partner.
During this one-hour sound bath, you will lie comfortably or sit in a pew&nbsp;as Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, bells, and drums create healing tones that gently travel through the body.
