Following Grandson's Death, Carson's Corner Reopens For Business
"Please be patient with us while we work through this unfathomable situation," the Carson's Corner Pizzeria posted on Facebook.

SHOREWOOD, IL —More than 300 people responded on Facebook to Tuesday's news that the Carson's Corner Pizzeria in Shorewood off Route 59 has reopened for business following the death of a family member.
Last weekend, Carson's Corner announced on Facebook that it had closed indefinitely. A sign on the restaurant's door informed people that Carson's was closed because of a family member's passing.
In Tuesday's announcement that Carson's was back open again, representatives of the small family owned restaurant informed their Facebook followers that "A couple of days ago we lost our Carson. Our grandson, nephew, cousin & SON. We ARE Carson’s corner.

"We wanted to show him when he came looking for us when he was older WE WOULD ALWAYS BE IN HIS CORNER, through a bitter situation and everything else after."
The restaurant asked everyone to be "patient with us while we work through this unfathomable situation."

At least 100 people offered comments on the Shorewood restaurant's Facebook page following Tuesday's news that Carson's Corner is back in business.
Here's a sampling of the comments:
