Joliet West Donates $1k to Shorewood Hugs
Joliet West High School junior class committee raised funds for the charity.

The Joliet West High School junior class committee presented a donation of $1,000 to Shorewood H.U.G.S. Wednesday. The students held a "re-dress the dress" re-sale event to raise money for the donation.
The is the fifth social project the junior class committee completed this year. Other projects include collecting items for an orphanage in Haiti, placing wreaths on the graves of veterans, making cards to hospitalized kids, and donating to the American Cancer Society.

The mission statement for Shorewood H.U.G.S .is "to make a positive impact in the lives of people in our community and the surrounding communities, one hug at a time," according to the website.
