SHOREWOOD, IL — You don't have to be of German heritage or a Shorewood resident to attend Saturday's 10th annual Shorewood OktoBREWfest. This marks the 10th year for the Octoberfest event at Cene's Four Seasons Park along Seil Road.

According to the village, OktoBREWfest is Shorewood's longest standing event.

"This Bavarian-style festival got its start in 1976 and was brought back by popular demand in 2013. Throughout the day there is traditional German fare and music, Masskruegstemmen contests, and more! OktoBREWfest is a family-friendly event until later in the evening when it becomes an adult-only venue bringing popular area bands out for guests to dance the night away.
