Restored Interiors: 'Shorewood Doesn't Have Anything Like This'
On Aug. 21, 2021, Abbey Snider relocated Restored Interiors from Earl Road to the Apple Tree Plaza on Shorewood's Jefferson Street.

SHOREWOOD, IL — Shorewood small business owner Abbey Snider has no second thoughts about her decision to relocate Restored Interiors to the Apple Tree Plaza last summer. In late August, Snider re-opened Restored Interiors at 707 W. Jefferson St. Suite I.
Before the move, Restored Interiors was on Earl Road for about a year. Restored Interiors first opened for business in October 2020.
Her new location along Jefferson Street provides much greater visibility and foot traffic, Snider told Joliet Patch. Restored Interiors usually opens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

"I always knew I needed a new spot and this one was perfect," Snider said.
On Earl Road, "we were just kind of tucked away."

At her new location, she is next door to the Divas Salon & Spa, part of the same shopping plaza as the Dairy Queen restaurant.
"I love it," she said. "It's good."
Snider said she "sells a ton" of Dixie Belle paint products at Restored Interiors. She typically adds new products, mostly furniture, every week, she said.
"We rotate with the seasons," Snider added.
Restored Interiors refinishes furniture by "taking old furniture and giving it a new life," Snider said. "We have a lot of antiques, and we sell the paint."
Snider has a strong social media presence. Restored Interiors has 2,233 Facebook followers and 2,121 Facebook likes.
Typically, Fall and Christmas are her two busiest times of year. Snider runs the store with Sydney Taylor. Both women refinish the furniture being sold at Restored Interiors.
Snider is hopeful that Restored Interiors will remain at its new location for years to come.
"Shorewood doesn't have anything else like this," she said.
