Salon Suites Of Shorewood: Wine Tasting, Open House Set

SHOREWOOD, IL — A new Shorewood business is teaming up with a soon-to-be opening business in hopes of generating more positive attention and awareness for both of them. The Salon Suites of Shorewood, 25157 Jefferson St. will have an open house from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The event will also feature wine tasting. The wine will be furnished by Mauve Nosh and Libations, which hopes to open in the coming weeks near the Happy Place Cafe and Will County Brewing Company.

Salon Suites is in the process of adding more tenants to its new building along U.S. 52. The property had been vacant in recent years after Coldwell Banker relocated elsewhere.

Alec Daniel Pena, the building contractor, said there are seven station bays within the renovated building and "four spaces are available."

He is looking for additional estheticians, hair stylists and people who specialize in nails, eyelashes and other personal care to utilize the property.

Saturday's open house is geared toward showcasing the property to people who might be interested in having their business located here.

The building encompasses 4,000 square feet.

"We like the opportunity to give salon stylists a bigger space than what other competitors are offering," Pena remarked.
