Skooters Finally Reopens As Corrigan's Pub, New Menu Here

SHOREWOOD, IL — When you think of the finest restaurants in the Joliet area, ones that immediately come to mind include CUT 158 Chophouse. Merichka's and Al's Steakhouse. Will the Corrigan's Pub make that list of all-time area greats? We're about to find out.

"We look forward to another restaurant option available for lunch and dinner," remarked Shorewood Mayor CC DeBold. "I believe the community has been anticipating another family dining establishment in town. We wish them nothing but success."

At 11 a.m. Tuesday, Corrigan's Pub opens its doors at the former Skooter's Roadhouse, 700 West Jefferson Street. As if Tuesday's grand opening isn't big enough, come Friday night, Sparks Fly: The Taylor Swift Experience will take the stage.

Corrigan's Pub is promoting the event as "The Best Live Band Taylor Swift Tribute In The Country."

The Taylor Swift music event is at 9 p.m. Dec. 15.

"Merry Swiftmas! Come watch Sparks Fly as we help launch music by playing all your T Swift favorites at the brand new Corrigan's Pub in Shorewood, IL," the Facebook announcement proclaims.

Will Travis Kelce pay a visit to Shorewood? Probably not.

If you're not interested in hearing Taylor Swift music, that's okay.

Corrigan's Pub intends to establish its reputation based on its Irish-themed cooking.
