Squirrel Hunters Nabbed in Joliet: Cops
The two Chicago men had allegedly fired BB guns at squirrels.
Police responding to a report of two armed men walking along Route 59 reportedly found a pair of squirrel hunters packing BB guns.
The two men — Calvin Brown, 37, and Gregory Sykes, 22 — were cited for the alleged “discharge of a toy firearm.”
The police tracked Brown and Sykes down to a residence on Culver Court after receiving a call Monday morning that two men armed with guns were walking along Route 59 near Vermette Circle.

The two Chicago men explained they were merely shooting at squirrels with BB guns, police said, which is still apparently against the law.
