State Cops Release Sketch of Bike Path Rapist

The state police released a sketch of the man who sprang from the bushes to sexually assault a jogger on the I&M Canal Path.

A sketch artist with the Cook County Sheriff’s Police completed the composite drawing Tuesday.

The rapist was described as a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, black-haired Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s. He was wearing dark sweatpants, a white T-shirt and an orange long-sleeved shirt.

The assaulted woman was jogging on the path near the intersection of Larkin Avenue and Interstate 80 when she was attacked Sunday morning, according to the state police.
