The Timbers 100+ Club: A Century of Wisdom

The Timbers of Shorewood Senior Living celebrated four residents in the 100+ Club on National Centenarians Day, Sept. 22.

September 22, National Centenarians Day, was a truly special occasion at Timbers of Shorewood. The Senior Living Community celebrated its own "100+ Club," honoring four women whose combined ages surpass four centuries.

The guests of honor - Pat (100), Mary (101, soon to be 102), and the eldest duo, Mary and Eleanore (both 106) - were treated to a party complete with entertainment, cake, and heartfelt admiration.

The newest member, Pat, who just turned 100, offered the day's profound wisdom. When asked her secret to a long life, Pat stated simply: “Diet, exercise and the love of God.” Her most important lesson, however, served as a beautiful, quiet acceptance of the journey: “Be ready for the next thing that comes. It will come, so accept it and all will be OK in time.”
