Wingstop Opens In Shorewood: 'Everything Is Cooked Fresh'
The first Wingstop restaurant in Shorewood is on Route 59 near the Mariano's supermarket off Black Road. Jose Mora is its general manager.

SHOREWOOD, IL —Shorewood may have seen the demise of its one and only Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, but the empty restaurant space at 968 Brook Forest Avenue is busy again, now that a Wingstop restaurant has taken its place.
Wingstop opened on Dec. 20, according to its general manager, Jose Mora.
This is the second new Wingstop he has opened. He also opened the Wingstop in Plainfield on Route 59 on the way toward Naperville. While many of his new customers have patronized the Joliet Wingstop on Jefferson Street near the Walmart, the Shorewood Wingstop is a different franchise, according to Mora.

The Shorewood Wingstop is now open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to midnight. The phone number for takeout is 815-655-8590. It has a small dining area for customers who want to eat here.
So far, the most popular wing flavors are garlic-lemon and extra hot, Mora said.

In addition to the individual combos, Wingstop also sells wings by the piece, from as few as 10 to as many as 100. You can also order tenders by the piece, in groups of four, seven, 15, 20 or 30.
"Everything is cooked fresh," Mora said.
Shorewood's Wingstop also uses DoorDash and Uber Eats for customer deliveries.
"It's been a pretty good opening month," Mora told Patch's editor Wednesday.
