82 Cited, 5 Arrested During Fall Traffic Safety Campaign In Skokie
During the fall enforcement period, five people were arrested, and 82 were cited for various traffic violations.
SKOKIE, IL — The Skokie Police Department cited 80 people during the recent fall traffic safety campaign period that lasted from Oct. 24 to Nov. 3
During the time period, police arrested one person on criminal charges, four people for traffic violations and issued 16 speeding citations.

- 22 seat belt violation citations
- 11 distracted driving citations
- 7 no insurance citations
- 26 other traffic citations.
Skokie police joined forces with other state and local law enforcement agencies that participated in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” and “Drive High, Get a DUI” campaigns. The campaigns are funded with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
