Coronavirus: Changes Made To Skokie Yard Waste Collection
Temporary schedule changes have been made to Skokie's yard waste collection.
SKOKIE, IL — Temporary service changes have been made to yard waste collections by Skokie's public works department as a result of the coronavirus. Yard waste now will be collected on Thursdays and Fridays with refuse until further notice, according to a newsletter from the village. The schedule is expected to return to Wednesday in mid- to late-May.
All refuse must be bagged, securely tied and stored in refuse carts with the lids closed. Private disposal will have to be arragned for large collections, like move outs or construction debris.
Large amounts of yard waste will require private disposal.
