Dangerous Skokie Driver

A man driving an SUV almost hits a pedestrian.

Skokie. Thursday 11/20/25. I was walking sometime between 5:55-6:05pm on Gross Point Rd. Passing the entrance to 9244 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60077 apartment buildings called Gross Point Towers. Located across the street from Wild Fork. When about half way through crossing this little entrance, a white SUV flew at a high rate of speed from behind me. He was entering this building complex very dangerously. Completely disregarding human life in the way of his vehicle. He forced me to jump out of the way to save my life. I saw lights, heard engine right on my back and instinctively jumped. A couple of people were on their floor level balcony in the immediate vicinity of this incident; They saw this and commented that he truly almost killed me.

The driver is an older white male with an ear flops hat. The car is a white SUV. He kept driving toward the last of the three buildings in the complex with a smirk on his face. Completely oblivious he just almost killed someone at best.

This driving behavior can lead to devastating results. A child, a mother with a stroller, disabled, or an elderly person wouldn't be able to jump out of the way like I did. In my opinion, all of the neighbors of this individual are at risk for getting hurt.

I've submitted an anonymous tip to the Skokie Police sms tip line. Also, doing some research I see this building was being managed by Rosen Management company that went out of business & was passed on to an entity called RowCal. The main point of contact for this apartment complex is Larry April. If you happen to witness more of this dangerous driving behavior, please report to the police and to the management. It can truly save someone's life.
