β’ The Government Unconstitutionally Labels ICE Observers as Domestic Terrorists (cato.org) β Skokie is one of several Chicago-area suburbs where Border Patrol agents have reportedly threatened to arrest residents who follow and record immigration enforcement operations, warning them they are βimpedingβ federal officers. The piece argues this is part of a broader national policy that treats such observers as potential βdomestic terrorists,β and urges Congress to protect First Amendment rights to document law enforcement activity.
