The Village is developing a strategic plan to serve as a roadmap for Skokie’s future. We need your input to help plan for the years ahead!

What is a Strategic Plan?

A strategic plan outlines a community’s vision, goals and priorities and guides decision-making and resource allocation. It helps align Village services, infrastructure and policies with community needs and future growth.

How to Participate

Your input is essential in developing a plan that reflects the community’s needs and priorities. Here are a few ways you can help shape Skokie’s future:

  • Attend the Community Visioning Session. Share your input on a wide variety of topics on Sunday, October 5, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Niles West High School (Main Gym), 5701 Oakton St. This event will include welcoming remarks followed by smaller group discussions. Space is limited; registration is required.
  • Take the Strategic Planning Engagement Survey. The survey takes 6 to 8 minutes to complete and will remain open through Saturday, October 11. The survey is available in multiple languages. Paper copies are available at Village Hall and Skokie Public Library.

Why It Matters

The Village’s strategic planning consultant, CP2, will organize and present survey and public input data to the Village Board of Trustees later this fall. This information – along with data from the Village’s triennial Community Survey and Community Development Block Grant Community Needs Survey, will inform the Board’s discussion and development of a strategic plan to be presented for consideration later this year.
