Main Ice Rink At Skokie Skatium Open Now
Public skate and some classes will resume this week at the Skatium Ice Arena.
SKOKIE, IL — The main rink at Skatium Ice Arena reopened Tuesday and community members are welcome to return, the Park District announced.
The adjacent studio rink is still closed currently, and its programs have been adjusted or postponed.
"We recognize that these changes may cause some short-term inconvenience, and we genuinely appreciate your flexibility. Rest assured, we are committed to making this year and season a fantastic one for all our skaters and players," Park District officials said in a statement.

Public skate is open during the week Tuesday though Friday, Weekend public skate will begin on Sept 26.
Figure skating classes have been moved to the main rink. Snowplow Sam through Basic 6 classes on Saturdays and Adult classes on Wednesdays have been postponed until the studio rink opens back up.

Hockey evaluations will proceed as scheduled, evaluations that were supposed to take place on Sept. 7 will now take place on Sept. 12.
