Community leaders from the Village and Skokie Chamber of Commerce gathered today with the development and leasing teams for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Highpoint at 8000 North luxury rental building on the northwest corner of Lincoln Avenue and Oakton Street in Downtown Skokie. Leasing is well underway and new residents are already moving in and posting pictures of the spectacular views from their units.

Designed by famed architect Lucien LaGrange, the property is home to 153 apartment homes with the units ranging in size from studios to spectacular three-bedroom penthouses. Luxury amenities at Highpoint include a rooftop park with grilling and outdoor spaces, a gourmet
demonstration kitchen, a yoga and fitness studio, as well as numerous designer lounges for working, entertaining and relaxing. Pets are welcome, with a dog run and pet wash available as well as an adjacent garage parking, 24-hour maintenance, and controlled resident access. Ground-floor commercial space is expected to welcome new businesses later this year with the first residents of apartment homes already moving in.
