The company calls its stores community hubs and has set generous daily hours, giving local families more options for holiday gift shopping and hands-on play.
   

• Skokie PD Warns Drivers To Stay Sober This Holiday Season (patch.com) — Skokie police will significantly increase patrols from Dec. 12 to Jan. 5 to catch impaired, high, unbelted, and distracted drivers during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Officers are joining statewide safety campaigns and urging residents to plan sober rides, wear seat belts, and report suspected impaired drivers so local roads stay safer this season.
