Pilates Studio Named 2025 Skokie Business Of The Year
FLX Move Pilates, opened in 2024, was honored this week as Skokie's 2025 business of the year.
SKOKIE, IL — FLX Move Pilates has been named Skokie's 2025 business of the year.
The studio was opened by founder Angela Metcalf at 5039Oakton St. in March 2024, with the mission to promote access to health and wellness to everyone in the community. Since then, Metcalf got more involved in the community, joining the Skokie Chamber of Commerce and Women's Chamber of Commerce.
FLX Move has also opened a second studio at 5117 Brown St.

"This award is a reflection of all of YOU… the clients who show up, the instructors who pour their hearts into every class, and the community that keeps us inspired every single day," the studio said on Instagram.
The consumer affairs commission recognized FLX Move for its strong community spirit, investment in Skokie and sustainability practices.

The village also shared three businesses that were this year's honorable mentions for business of the year:
- Don Julio Cafe, 7919 Lincoln Ave.
- Market Place On Oakton, 4817 Oakton St.
- Orange Pediatric Therapy, 5225 Old Orchard Rd
