CHICAGO — The two right lanes of the Edens Expressway will be closed for road work this weekend, state transportation officials announced.

Pavement repairs require the closure a pair of outside lanes between Foster and Wilson avenues from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, weather permitting, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Drivers were advised to expect delays and allow extra time to drive through the area. IDOT representatives also urged motorists to be alert for workers and equipment, pay close attention to road signs and flaggers and to follow the posted speed limit.
