Skokie Community Invited To Police Department's Open House
Attendees will get insight into the emergency services that are provided in Skokie.

SKOKIE, IL — The Skokie Police Department is hosting an open house this month to give insight to the community about emergency services.
The event will start at 11 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. at Skokie Police Headquarters at 7300 Niles Center Rd. Guests will learn about the department's mission, hiring process, benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
Guests can expect to meet police officers and command staff; tour the facility; learn about pay, benefits and professional development opportunities; and ask questions about the hiring process.

The event is open to military veterans, college athletes, college students, and anyone aspiring to a rewarding career in law enforcement. Registration is required to attend.
"Community members are encouraged to share this opportunity with friends, family, and others who may be interested in joining the law enforcement profession," the department said in a statement.
