Skokie Participates in Seniors Matter Rideshare Pilot Program
Free rides to grocery stores, pharmacies and medical appointments in Skokie available for Skokie residents age 65 and older.

The Village of Skokie has launched a pilot transportation program with support from The SafeLIGHT Foundation and AARP. The program offers free Lyft rides to registered Skokie residents who are at least 65 years old. Scheduled rides are provided to grocery stores, pharmacies and medical appointments within the Village of Skokie boundaries. Riders must be able to enter and exit a vehicle without assistance. The program is active through December 31, 2022 or until funds are exhausted, and is offered by Skokie Health and Human Services with support from The Safelight Foundation and AARP.
