Skokie Public Schools Close Ahead Of Winter Storm

Schools in Morton Grove and Lincolnwood announced closures Thursday.

SKOKIE, IL — Several public school districts in Niles Township closed Thursday ahead of an anticipated winter storm.

Skokie School District 69, Skokie Fairview School District 72, East Prairie School District 73 and Skokie School District 73½ were closed for the day.

Golf School District 67 and Lincolnwood School District 74 were set to close shortly after 11 a.m. District 73½ will also be closed Friday.

The entire Chicago area is under a winter storm warning through 6 a.m. Saturday, with hazardous travel conditions expected to begin around the same time schools are dismissed Thursday afternoon.
