What are you thankful for?
I'm grateful one can effect one's survival, life & happiness by taking action; aka, by (my) will, even if neither always nor entirely; that is not by Free Will; instead by what I sometimes imagine as tightening & loosening knotted lines of intention & possabilibility... Another of several versions of this I've seen is, "Even if you don't belive in god, prayer can be quite helpful!"
