Spookin' Starts In Skokie: Spirit Halloween Opens This Week

SKOKIE, IL — Spooky season is creeping up, which means Halloween stores will move into abandoned buildings near you.

Spirit Halloween, the world's largest specialty Halloween retailer, is opening in 46 towns across
Illinois. This year, Skokie's store will open up at the former Forever 21 at 4999 Old Orchard Center, J6 starting in September.

The Spirit brand operates over 1,500 stores across the United States.

There will be 53 Spirit Halloween locations in Illinois, and many of them will reopen this week. For those of you itching to get your costumes already, nearby stores are already open in:

• Niles - Former Party City at 9471 N Milwaukee Ave.
• Norridge - Former Joann fabrics at 4514 N Harlem Ave.

"The opening of Spirit Halloween stores signals the start of something special for our guests and our dedicated team that works year-round to reach this moment," wrote Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spirit Halloween, in a news release.
