Treasure Hunting in Skokie: 3rd Annual Community-Wide Garage Sale

Calling all bargain hunters, thrifters, and eco-conscious shoppers! The 3rd Annual Skokie Community-Wide Garage Sale is back and bigger than ever. From Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1, households across Skokie will open their garages, driveways, and yards to offer up a wide variety of gently used treasures.

With nearly 300 participating households last year, this free event is a great way to explore the community, score great deals, and shop sustainably. Sale hours vary by location, but most are open between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Whether you're on the hunt for vintage finds, kids' clothes, kitchen gadgets, or home décor, there’s something for everyone. Shoppers can plan their routes using the interactive garage sale map, which features each registered location’s hours and a preview of items for sale.

The event also supports the Village’s Environmental Sustainability Plan, helping residents reduce waste by giving pre-loved items a second life.
