• Pope Leo Set to Accept Cardinal Dolan's Resignation (newsmax.com) — A South Holland native, Bishop Ron Hicks of Joliet, is being widely rumored as Pope Leo XIV’s choice to lead the Archdiocese of New York, potentially elevating a hometown son to one of the most prominent roles in the U.S. Catholic Church. Hicks, who grew up in South Holland and became Joliet’s bishop in 2020, has not yet commented on the reports.
