2 Dead In Crash On I-80 West: State Police

TINLEY PARK, IL — Two people were killed in a crash on I-80 West in Tinley Park early Sunday, Illinois State Police said.

State police were called just before 4:30 a.m. to I-80 West between LaGrange Road and Harlem Avenue for reports of a fatal crash involving a semi and a Dodge SUV. Two people have been declared dead, police said. It was not disclosed which vehicle the victims were in. Their identities were not known as of 7:30 a.m.

I-80 Westbound was closed for hours as police investigated.

Illinois State Police continue to investigate.
