2 Men Accused of Street Racing Lamborghini, BMW In Tinley Park

Tinley Park police said both men were going around 100 mph in a 45 mph zone Monday night.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Two people were arrested Monday night after police said they caught the pair racing a Lamborghini and BMW down 80th Avenue.

Tinley Park police pulled the two vehicles over after seeing them race southbound near the 17600 block of 80th Avenue at around 11:20 p.m., officials said. Another officer also spotted the cars not long before heading west on 171st Street.

According to officers, both cars were going up to 100 mph in a 45 mph zone. Police were able to pull both cars over and charged the drivers with aggravated speeding and street racing. Drivers were later identified as Abdalnasir Othman of Tinley Park and Naim Deffala of Mokena.

Othman and Deffala were driving a 2017 BMW and a 2019 Lamborghini, police said. The vehicles were towed and impounded. Both men were released pending their court appearance.
