2020 U.S. Census Response In Tinley Park Highest In Area

TINLEY PARK, IL— The Village of Tinley Park shared on Facebook that the city has recorded the highest response rates for the 2020 U.S. Census., according to the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association.

The village is tied for first place with Flossmoor as of July 22, at 79.8%, according to the Facebook post. Since July 20, 66.6% of households in the state of Illinois have filled out the census. Additionally written, 61.8% of Cook County residents have responded, and 74.2% of Will County residents have as well.

The village suggested that residents respond to the census, by also stating in the post, "The data collected helps determine the number of seats Illinois has in the U.S. House of Representatives and the amount of federal funds received for such things as schools, senior centers and public works projects."
