Governors State University’s (GovState) Center for Student Engagement and Intercultural Programs (CSEIP) has announced two student speakers for the 2025 Commencement ceremonies to be held at Tinley Park Convention Center on Saturday, May 17.

CESIP Director Konya Sledge said more than 20 graduates applied to deliver student speeches to their peers celebrating academic achievements and personal milestones.

“This is an exciting time of year and, this year, has been especially inspiring. We saw the most robust response for student speaker that we’ve received in the last five years. I was inspired to see how passionate the students were and I’m very proud of them.”
