51 Confirmed Cases: Latest Tinley Park Coronavirus Updates
Here are the latest local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Tinley Park.
TINLEY PARK, IL — There are now 51 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Tinley Park, according to a map published by the Cook County Department of Public Health. As of April 8, Tinley Park's total is less than Orland Park's, which is 70 but more than the number reported in neighboring Oak Forest, which has 36 confirmed cases.
The village of Tinley Park went forward with their April 7 meetings, but a number of village trustees and Mayor Jacob Vandenberg were present remotely via GoToMeeting. The trustees and village staff that were at Village Hall during the meeting were wearing masks and adhering to even more social distancing precautions than they did at their previous meeting held on March 17.
