7-Foot Wall A Requirement For Video Gaming At Brewery
Trustees in Tinley Park are requiring 350 Brewing put in a 7-foot wall before they allow video gaming there.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Establishments in Tinley Park that want to add video gaming will likely have to adhere to a "7-foot" rule, meaning a wall of barrier that's at least seven feet high must be in place to separate the video gaming section from other areas of the restaurant or bar. That's what is holding up the 350 Brewing Company from adding video gaming to their establishment at 7833 W. 183rd St.
Ramzi Hassan, a representative for 350 Brewing, told village board members earlier this week he will submit new blueprints that will show the barrier beside the party room they plan to host the video gaming. Hassan is seeking the village to provide the brewery with a class "AV" liquor license that would provide the opportunity for video gaming instead of the class "A" license they have now. There's also a second license they have that allows a microbrewery on site.
Currently, Hassan said the party room is sectioned off with a "fence-like material."

Trustee Michael Glotz said that over the past year or so all video gaming requests for places that serve liquor have been met with the request to put up the 7-foot wall, although that restriction is not in any official village code.
Diane Galante, another Tinley trustee, was among the majority who think the barrier requirement should become permanent for anyone seeking to host video gaming with liquor service in the village.

"I think it should just be the standard now," Galante said.
Hassan said the brewery will work "within the structure to make a separation of 7 feet."
