Andrew High School Hires New Athletic Director

Kevin McKeown is the former athletic director of Oak Lawn High School.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Andrew High School's hiring of Kevin McKeown as the new athletic director was approved by the Consolidated High School District 230 board Monday. McKeown is the former AD at Oak Lawn High School.

"Kevin brings passion, creativity, and a leadership style that will allow us to continue to make great strides in the area and at the IHSA level,” said Andrew Principal Bob Nolting. “Kevin's approach to building a comprehensive athletic program, development of athletes not only physically, but through leadership and character-building opportunities, and importance of engaging our community were key characteristics that we believe are tremendous assets for Andrew High School. I am confident that Andrew athletics is ready to excel with Kevin as its leader."

Before becoming Oak Lawn's athletic director, McKeown worked as a social studies teacher and football and bowling coach at the school starting in 2003. He earned his bachelor's degree in secondary at Eastern Illinois University, and he has masters degrees from Concordia University and Olivet Nazarene.
