Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
Christopher has developed a social peer communication class at Andrew High School. This class uses volunteer students from regular education classes to help engage and teach students that are socially awkward. Many times, this includes students on the autism spectrum. The class is geared to create fun games to promote the theme of the day. The kids have a ton of fun and both sides learn from each other. Various parents have requested their child to be allowed to attend Andrew because of this program. Aside from Christopher 's employment at Andrew, he also established a special needs program at Parkview Christian Church, so parents can drop their children off and attend service. Not many churches offer care for special needs children. Chris ĥas a special place in his heart for these children, and is known as the "Autism Whisperer," as he can calm down any child. Christopher is my son, and you are probably looking for non-related nominations, but no one seems to give him the recognition he deserves.
