TINLEY PARK, IL — Those looking for something fun to do—or a spot to enjoy brunch, craft beer, and shopping local—can stop in to Hailstorm Brewing in Tinley Park Sunday, Aug. 31.

The brewery will host the Streetz Artz Alliance for the Flurry Artisan Market, an event that celebrates fall, local artists, and community charities. Located at 8060 186th Street in Tinley Park, the market is free to attend, family friendly, and offers plenty of on-site and free street parking.

The market runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be held both indoors and outdoors. About 18 artists will be set up outside on the patio gravel and the northwest parking lot adjacent to the patio. Inside, artists will be located in two zones: the main hall with pinball machines and stage, as well as the brewery area behind the bar, accessible from the left side of the bar near the food and beverage order station.

The Flurry is a curated market that brings artists from around the south suburbs to Hailstorm, with offerings that range from woodworking and jewelry to pickles and self-care products. About a quarter of the artists are brand new to this venue, ensuring that returning patrons will find a fresh mix of new and familiar talent. Each Flurry is designed to feel like a unique sip-and-shop adventure.

“The holiday weekend version of the Flurry always seems to get the Southside out to Hailstorm, and I believe they will be glad to know several Alliance favorites are in this Sunday market,” said John Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance and curator for the event.

“Note that the layout in the brewery area will be a little different this time,” saidStreetz. “When you look into that area and don’t see the usual artists near the entrance, don’t worry. All of the artists have been placed beyond that area to encourage a roundabout flow of traffic.”

Favorites returning include Art of Alex Kujawa, Adara Selene Creations, Special K’s BeerCandles, Belonio Doodles, and Wanna Pickle.

Edible items will be plentiful. Shoppers can find hand pies, decorated cookies, salt breads, focaccia, and other baked goods, along with specialty coffee blends such as 11:11 Coffee and For the Love of People. There will also be barbecue rubs, hot sauces, hot honey, and raw or infused honeys including honey slush. Preserved fruits, pickles, and vegetables will be available, as well as a variety of pet treats.

The outdoor patio will remain fully open for seating, as artists are set up only in the gravel area. With fall weather settling in, patrons can relax on the patio with a beverage and a view of the outside portion of the artisan market.
