Body Of Slain Man, 31, Found On Road Near Tinley Park: Police
The man's body was found around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Department.
TINLEY PARK, IL — The body of a 31-year-old man was found near 178th Street and South Central Avenue in Cook County over the weekend, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. His death has been ruled a homicide.
Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Cook County Sheriff’s police responded to the 17800 block of South Central Avenue near Tinley Park after a motorist called 911 to report finding the man along the roadway, Press Secretary Matt Walberg told Patch Tuesday evening.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and an autopsy conducted Monday determined the man's death was a homicide from multiple injuries during an assault.

Residents nearby were awoken by police and asked if they had seen or heard anything suspicious between midnight and 3 a.m. Sunday.
Walberg told Patch that sheriff’s police are still investigating the man's death.
