Bremen District 228: Your 2019 Back-To-School Guide
Classes for Bremen Dist. 228 freshmen start Aug. 16 and Aug. 19 for all students. Here's what you need to know to start the year off right.
TINLEY PARK, IL —The first days of classes at Bremen, Hillcrest, Tinley Park and Oak Forest high schools are quickly approaching, with classes for freshmen set to start August 16 and for all other students, August 19.
Here's what you need to know to get your child off to school:
Registration
Online registration continues through the end of July. The fee is $300, and others may apply.

- Oak Forest High School offers parent a letter explaining registration and one explaining fees.
- All four high schools — Tinley, Bremen, Oak Forest and Hillcrest — take registrations online using the district's portal.
Key dates
- SIP days: September 11, October 16, November 27, December 20
- September 2: Labor Day, no school
- October 11: Staff institute, no school
- November 11: Veteran's Day, no school
- November 28,29: Thanksgiving, no school
- December 23 to January 3: Winter Break, no school
