Burglar Nabs $16,000 Worth of Tools and Equipment
Someone ransacked a utility vehicle that was parked in Tinley Park over the weekend.

An owner of a Janesville-based engineering company called the cops over the weekend when he realized that more than $16,000 worth equipment was taken from his vehicle while it was in a parking lot.
said that someone pried open the side door of the man's 2003 Pace American Trailer. The vehicle was parked from 6 p.m. Jan. 6 to 7:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in the east lot at Sleep Inn, 18420 Spring Creek Drive, according to the report.

- Anritsu S331D Site Master in a black pelican case, $12,000.
- Red Honda generator, $1,200.
- Two-phase stable cables, $800.
- 2T load for cables, $750.
- Makita power tool kit, $600.
- Various hand tools, $400.
