Candyman Crook Swipes Sunglasses, Leaves Behind Skittles
He left a bag of skittles behind after he stole sunglasses out of a parked car.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A skulking thief left behind a bag of Skittles after he swiped a pair of prescription sunglasses out of a parked car early Friday morning.
The owner of the car, a 61-year-old man, heard something slam in the driveway of his Parkside Drive house shortly after 1 a.m.
The man looked out and “noticed the interior dome light of the vehicle was on and the passenger door was open,” police said.

He went out to investigate and heard a car driving away but never actually caught sight of it.
When the man looked inside his 2008 Mercury he discovered a $300 pair of prescription sunglasses had been stolen and a bag of Skittles was left in its place.

A neighbor told police she saw two youths standing in front of the victimized man’s home about the same time as he heard the loud noise. The neighbor said both youths were about 6-feet tall and skinny, and that they ran away from the house.
“The bag of Skittles was placed into evidence,” police said.
